#1 - Wednesday Bread Orders - Not going ahead
|
We have not had enough interest in the weekly pre-orders to warrant the work effort. So we will continue to bake lots of loaves for Sunday markets as well as for the Friday Night Markets coming up in Procter (July 19 + Aug 16 ... which we are very excited about). Once a week is all we can swing for the summer season.

We will not be at the market on July 28th ... but we plan to make it to the rest of them and look forward to seeing you all there!

We have had a bumper crop of strawberries this season and have been busy shoving summer in the freezer. We have been busily picking, chopping and freezing bags upon bags of strawberries! We have so many that we have extras to sell. This was a goal of ours... to put up enough food to be able to share so that folks get to enjoy local food later in the season. Feels good. They are stocked in our Farm Stand freezer for you to pop by and grab anytime.

AVAILABLE THIS WEEK(END)
- Simple Sourdough - $10/loaf
- Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough with a hint of ginger - $11/loaf
- Cheese and Garlic Scape Sourdough - $12/loaf
- Sourdough Bagels - Simple with Seeds and Cinnamon Raisin - $2/bagel
- Strawberries - $6/pint
- Frozen Strawberries - $10/450g bags (Farm Stand Only)
- Chard, Beet Greens and Kale Bundles - $4/bunch
- Fresh herb bunches (mint, oregano, sage, dill, etc.) - $2.50/bunch
- Artichokes - $3-5 each
- Beets - $4/bunch
- Cauliflower - $8 each
- Fruit Leather - $2/roll
- Rhubarb Concentrate - $9 + $2 Jar Deposit / 1 Pint - This is concentrated rhubarb juice. It has the same acidity of lemon or vinegar and makes a wonderful substitute for salad dressings! You can also add to water with some simple syrup and mint for a zippy rhubarb-aid!
- Candied Rhubarb - $7/bag - Careful, its addictive. Made with rhubarb and sugar this treat is crunchy, chewy and our preference to any kind of sour candy you can buy in a store.
- Sourdough Crackers - $5/bag
- Sourdough Waffles - $6/bag (Farm Stand Only)
- EGGS - $7 / doz (Farm Stand Only)

FYI - Our farm stand is open everyday. If you want to pop in for any of the long-lasting products like eggs, frozen items, crackers, etc. These are always available. Throughout the season, veggies will also be stocked as they come ready and fresh. Saturday morning is when we do our Farm Stand Day with all the fresh baking.

Our address is 655 Ferguson Rd. As you drive down the driveway you will pass some old stables. Just beyond the stables is an open area you can park in. Our Farm Stand Cabin is located on the right (north side). You will need to head down the pathway and continue around to the front of the building and enter the cabin off the front deck.
Friendly reminder, things are still a little rough around the edges. Please bare with us as we refurbish and get our little stand in shape!

Payment is through the honour system. We will have a cash box on the table. If you do not have cash you can e-transfer to emshaking@gmail.com. All proceeds from our sales go back into the farm.
