#1 - MARKETS ARE DONE. NOW WHAT? NEW FALL / WINTER SCHEDULE
Wow. What a whirlwind that was! We're all wrapped up with our summer markets and we're feeling super grateful for all the support we have received over the season. Thank you all for bringing your smiling faces to the markets week after week, it is so much fun to see everyone out and about and to be part of the vending contingent of our little market circuit.
So... what's next for Grow Wild??
Our Farm Stand is Open Daily - We will continue to stock our farm stand all fall and winter. This fall we will continue to have an abundance of fresh veggies coming out of our hoop, green houses and our end-of-season gardens. We are coordinating with other local growers to help them move their fall and winter crops. You can expect to see things like potatoes from Dreamcatcher Farm as well as their awesome preserves. We will have garlic all winter from Heliotropic farm. We will be seeking out other local growers to help keep us in onions. We have heaps of carrots in the ground here that we are hopeful will continue to supply our needs for many months to come. We've still got lettuce coming out of the ground, fresh chard, kale, green onions, radish, etc. So please keep on popping by to see what we've got going on.
What about baking?? Good News, we're still doin' it!
We will be continuing to bake every week (mostly) to keep the fresh bread supply going for all the cozy months ahead. We will be baking for Fridays at 12pm in the Farm Stand and keeping the bread on the table all through the day on Saturday for perusal and pickup. We will resume pre-orders as well for folks wanting to lock-in an order for the week.
We will NOT be baking next weekend (October 3)
#2 - EGGS EGGS EGGS
OUR NEW FLOCK IS HERE! Our hens arrived early Tuesday morning and they are getting settled into their new residence here on the farm. They are very very sweet and we are excited to have them. We should begin to see eggs in the coming week or two. Due to some hiccups, we have not been able to keep up with our Sunshine Valley egg supply. I will try again this week to resume that service but for now we are completely out of eggs in the stand. Sincere apologies, our egg-xiety is high... but we're breathing through it. Please reach out to our other local producers at Dreamcatcher, Understory Farm and Tanglewood to see what they've got available. And please come on by the farm stand because there is still a lot of good stuff to be found in there!
#3 - APPLES
Do you want a box of apples for your fridge? We have so many and they're really really tasty. Let me know if you'd like to coordinate a larger order of these seasonal treats.
