#1 - FRESH BREAD + BAGELS THIS WEEKEND... WHY NOT
|
I did say I wasn't gonna... but I'm gonna. I can see the stocks of Simple Loaves dwindling and I've got some leftover toppings from our pie-extravaganza that I'd like to use up. So we're doing some specialty loaves this weekend!

#2 - MEET OUR FARM DOGS / DOGS ON THE FARM
|
Our wonderful tenant and farm support extraordinaire, Nav, has given us a great idea to introduce the dogs that live here on site to our visitors. Their photos are below for reference. From Left to Right.

TED - Ted is our family dog. She is a young, bouncy Bernedoodle who was born just up the road with Kootenay Mountain Dogs. She is very sweet, but very LOUD and she takes her job of alerting us to all our visitors with a little too much enthusiasm. We are working with her on this. She is a wonderful help around the farm, loves doing chores, keeping the deer away and making the turkeys flee. We apologize for her bark, but assure you she is friendly and gentle.

DOUG - Doug is a 2 year old Mutt from Ymir who loves the water. He's white with a fluffy tail. Fishing, swimming, canoeing, terrorizing the ducks... he does it all! He also has a big bark and likes to let us know when folks arrive. He even lets us know when we arrive... which is helpful on days when we don't really know which way is up. Despite his bark and size, he is a gentle giant.

WINDY - Windy is an English Shepherd who was destined to be a rescue dog but is enjoying a more relaxed life on the farm instead. She is a smart, spunky girl who has been studying Houdini and become a little escape artist... Only Windy knows where Windy goes. If you see her around... now you know where she lives. Windy will often work with Nav as she does her rounds around the place.

NOTE: Our farm stand is open daily during daylight hours and is stocked with lots of fresh fruit and veggies (in season), eggs, baking and more. Come on by anytime.

Our address is 655 Ferguson Rd. When you pull into the driveway you can turn right just before the stables. There are signs directing you down to the farm stand parking lot. You then walk across the lawn to the little farm stand cabin.
