Wow! Summer is wild. Just a quick note here to say we are doing all we can to get back to everyone, keep things stocked in the stand, bake things and keep the gardens producing (while raising kids, a puppy and chasing deer). Apologies if we have missed a note from you, please feel free just to follow up again if theres anything I have missed. Thanks for your understanding.
FARM NEWS (5 notes)
#1 - Egg Price Increase - $8 / Dozen
We are raising our price for eggs from $7 to $8 per dozen. This will help us better cover our input costs for high quality organic feed, comfortable and clean accommodation and account for the time and energy it takes to keep our hens happy and healthy. We appreciate your understanding.
#2 - We still have TONS of the World's BEST Cucumber
We're kind of cucumber experts over here. They are by far the most consumed vegetable in our household all year around. So you can trust us when we recommend that you try a SOYU cucumber right away! These charismatic cucurbits are ridged, stripy and sometimes a little curvy. They hold their crunch in the fridge longer than any of their cousins and resist the urge to get slimy or bitter. They have a sweet flavour with small, soft seeds. Their texture is such that they would hold up for a quick or canned pickle as well! We have these consistently stocked in our Farm Stand Cabin and will bring a whole whack of them to market on Sunday! $3 each. Best stored in the fridge in a bag to seal in the freshness.
#3 - Awesome Community Cooperation Happening at the Farm Stand!
We are so excited to see our vision for our cooperative farm stand coming to life here at the farm. Our intention with our farm stand was always to increase our variety by collaborating with local producers to bring you all a variety of chemical-free, high quality, delicious food.. all in one place ... and the buzz is starting to catch on! We have a whole whack of jams and jellies from Dreamcatcher farm, fresh blueberries from Sunshine Bay Retreat, some plums and zucchini from Rich and Gwen (and their farm yet to be named) as well as gorgeous garlic from Heliotropic Gardens, grown at Dave's place up the road. We will be bringing lots of these goods to market this week as well on behalf of these awesome growers!

LOCATION
Head to www.growwild.com/map/ to see a map!
Our address is 655 Ferguson Rd. As you drive down the driveway you will pass some old stables. Just beyond the stables is an open area you can park in. Our Farm Stand Cabin is located on the right (north side). You will need to head down the pathway and continue around to the front of the building and enter the cabin off the front deck. Friendly reminder, things are still a little rough around the edges. Please bare with us as we refurbish and get our little stand in shape!
FEEDBACK
We love feedback! These Farm Stand Days are our opportunity to try new things and see how they are received and enjoyed (or not) by our community. Please feel free to reach out and let us know what you think of any of the products we have on offer.
PAYMENT
Payment is through the honour system. We will have a cash box on the table. If you do not have cash you can e-transfer to emshaking@gmail.com. All proceeds from our sales go back into the farm.
